Author: I have a friend who is diabetic. He has one of the worst looking toes I have ever seen. It is yellow, REALLY thick, and flaking off. I mentioned it to a nurse, and she said it was that way just because he has diabetes! Will diabetes do that to your nails, without an underlying infection?

It doesnt really look like some of the pics i have seen of toenail fungus online. . . . It just looks whiteish and occasionaly the top layer of my nail will peel. . . . . would a simple pedicure take care of it???

I just took off my toe nail polish and all of my toes had what looks like white clouds or they look very dry from all the white patches on them. I was able to buff 95% of it off and apply a toe nail fungus medicine. Is this the start of a fungus or is it fungus? I hate to use the medicine because it dries my nails out but I don’t want a fungus either. Any suggestions.
